Not going to lie, this wasn’t even on my radar. Which sucks because I’m a huge fan of Jeremy Saulnier after hearing his inspiring story of taking a gamble and spending his last penny to make Blue Ruin, which turned out to be one of the most gripping thrillers of the last decade. He quickly followed this up with Green Room just a couple of years later, which made it clear that his earlier work was no fluke.
Now the talented director is back with his latest feature film, this one for Netflix, and based on a book. The film stars Jeffrey Wright, Alexander Skarsgård, Riley Keough and of course Macon Blair who once again teams up with Saulnier on his latest feature. Check out the first trailer below…
What a surreal, freaky trip. The film drops on 28 September 2018 on Netflix.
Here’s the synopsis, via IMDB:
After the deaths of three children suspected to be by wolves, writer Russell Core is hired by the parents of a missing six-year-old boy to track down and locate their son in the Alaskan wilderness.
