Every year the Superbowl is the place where many amazing trailers debut. Yeah sure the game is big, so is the half time show, but for the rest of the world who just awen’t that into sports, movie trailers (and commercials) are the things to look out for. Below we’ve got a list of some of the most notable TV spots and trailers that aired at the 2019 Superbowl.
Avengers: End Game
the big one, the finale to 10 years of build-up is finally around the corner. We’ll have to wait until April for the film, but for now we get to see the resolve of the remaining Avengers who seem determined to change the fate that Thanos forced upon all life across the galaxy.
Okay, so we’re all excited for Avengers: End Game but let’s not forget that we still need to get our proper introduction to Captain Marvel, who will likely play a major part in undoign what Thanos did, and helping to defeat him too. But all that’s going to need some serious back story, so we’re pretty ready to delve into this one. There’s only one way to do this: Higher, Further, FASTEr, Baby!
Jordan Peele is on a roll! He’s producing a bunch of shows, including The Twilight Zone which also aired a teaser, and afer he’s debut film Get Out won him an Oscar, it’s safe to say that the world has its eyes on what he’ll do next. With Lupita Nyongo and Winston Duke in the lead roles in Us, I feel like he can’t go wrong. This horror film looks absolutely terrifying.
The Twilight Zone
Oh, did we mention that Jordan Peele is on a role? Here he is in the spot for The Twilight Zone, which looks like it will be just as trippy as the original.
Toy Story 4
So many people are complaining that Hollywood just keeps taking advantage of our nostalgia. But hey, I’m here for it if it means that we get more Toy Story! With Key & Peele too (did I mention that Jordan Peele is on a ROLL?!).
Alita: Battle Angel
This one is just over a week away from hitting most big screens around the world, and yet the critics don’t seem to be liking it. The film is currently Rotten on the Rotten Tomatoes Tomato meter with a score of 52%. We have seen a few films over the last year that were reviewed badly by critics and did well with audiences. Will this be one of those or will it be meh? It’s really hard to doubt the creativity of James Cameron who produced the film, and Robert Rodriguez
The Handmaid’s Tale Season 3
Cool ad, I mean trailer! I mean…. Look, who’s up for some more tragedy? If that’s you, then buckle up because here’s the new trailer for the upcoming season of Hulu’s The Handmaid’s Tale.
Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark
Guillermo del Toro has show us that he’s a master of horror and practical effects, so it’s safe to say that he’s latest project is gearing up to strike fear in the hearts of people all over the world, and I’m 100% here for it. This is a very short look at what’s to come, but we absolutely can’t wait for more!
Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw
So, remember when Fast & Furious was… I’m not going to repeat what everyone else is saying. Hobbs & Shaw looks like a cool buddy (not cop), frenemies film that’s just a romp. Idris Elba is obviously great in everything he does and The Rock and Jason Statham have pretty great chemistry. It’s just too bad that there won’t be any justice for Han who Shaw literally murdered in cold blood.
